Quik v1 Admin Skin
Quik is a simple skin for use on little back end applications. It’s just a clean way of presenting say a CMS or some other little app to a client. The general admin template, includes a table style, error and alert styles, a sidebar, tabs, form fields and some general text styles. All nice and clean, and easy to add to.
Quik comes premade with a green, red and blue variant, but it’s pretty easy to make new colour schemes!
Note: This is just an HTML template. It’s actually based on one we use for Envato apps that our devs use to make little back-end interfaces.
For the most part you can just follow the HTML in the three main files to create new tables, headings, text blocks and so on. The font I’ve used for the logo in case you are wondering is Gotham, you can create new logo areas using the PSD files included here.
Making a New Colour Scheme
Making a new colour scheme is relatively simple, you need to replace these images:
- logo_green.jpg
- bg_green.jpg
- right-tab.gif
- left-tab.gif
And also you should update these styles:
- #user_info a – this is the logout link in the top right
- #navigation li a – this is the non-rolled over tab link colour
- .success – this is the coloured alert box
- .table_header and th – these are the table header colours
